UNDERSTAND YOUR NEW PUPPY’S NEEDS

Welcome Your New Puppy Home

So, your new puppy is finally ready to come home – are you ready?

Bringing a new puppy home is a wonderful experience, but sometimes what they bring with them is less welcome! Toileting accidents, play biting/mouthing and jumping up can be frustrating and difficult to understand. Socialisation, puppy proofing your home and bonding with your new puppy are also so important to get right.

You’re already invested so much time thinking about your new puppy, looking for a good breeder, finding the right dog to suit your lifestyle, but once they do arrive it can often be a little overwhelming. Now it’s “real”. Oh boy!

There is so much guidance out there; a simple Google search will give you thousands of answers – some good, some not so good. Add to that all of the advice given by your friends and family, other dog owners, neighbours, people down the pub etc., which do you listen to? None of them seem to say the same thing! Who is right? You want to get everything right. Every. Single. Thing.

The good news is – you’re not alone. Every puppy owner feels the same, which is why I offer a “Welcome Home Puppy” session to help you give your new puppy the very best start in their new home.

The session last 90mins and takes place in your home. I will help you understand more about your new puppy’s needs and what their behaviour really means. This is tailored, accurate advice provided by a professional, qualified Dog Trainer and the service is designed to address all of your questions.

Prices start from only £85

See my Book now page to send me a message and book your session.

Once your new puppy has completed their vaccinations and you’re ready to move on to socialisation and training, I can help with that too! I run regular puppy socialisation sessions (up to 16 weeks) in Hilton and puppy training classes (suitable for puppies up to 20 weeks old) in Hilton & Repton. You can find full details of the puppy socialisation sessions and training classes on my Puppy Training page and secure your place through the Book now page.

New Puppy Essentials – the ultimate toolkit.

During my “Welcome Home New Puppy” sessions I offer recommendations on items to help your new puppy develop physically and mentally. From canine enrichment items (to help mental stimulation at a time where excessive physical exercise can be damaging), dog chew toys that will help to bring your puppy’s adult teeth through (and save your furniture and ankles in the process), crates and puppy pens to keep your puppy safe and secure when they’re left alone, and books from some of the best people in the business you can find them all in my “ultimate puppy toolkit” blog. This toolkit is made with years of experience of helping new owners and their puppies make a great start.

Naughty puppy? – why not check out my blog “help my puppy is so naughty” blog.

“The 6-week puppy course was detailed, informative and resourceful. Louise instantly made us all feel at ease and was not only full of knowledge about all aspects of training but also taught us how to understand dog behaviours and their needs. I have already recommended Louise and Hilton Dogs to other friends and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a class that really does deliver results.”

Ellis

“We found the puppy classes extremely useful, both for socialising and working on our tricks and obedience through positive training methods. Now just under a year later we are still active members, but of Dog School. Louise is a fantastic dog trainer, she is happy to tailor her classes to suit the needs of all and encourages a friendly, positive and fun atmosphere.”

Welcome Home Puppy

So, your new puppy is finally ready to come home – are you ready? My “Welcome Home New Puppy” session helps you to give your new puppy the very best start in their new home.

Puppy Training

Puppies are funny, silly and crazy… but so much fun. The positive energy during my Puppy Training in Derbyshire classes should be bottled up and made available on the NHS.

One to One Dog Training Classes

Sometimes, a more personal and focused approach is needed. There are a lot of dogs out there that just need a little help but for whom adult dog training or puppy training classes may not be suitable.
